General Terms and Conditions

On this site you will find the General Terms and Conditions of the A-ROSA club - customer program of the A-ROSA Resorts & Hideways.

  • 1. Subject

    The A-ROSA customer club is a customer loyalty scheme for loyal customers of DSR Hotel Holding GmbH / A-ROSA Resorts & Hideaways. These General Terms and Conditions form the legal basis for membership in the A-ROSA Club and equally apply to all club members. Depending on the club level, the club members are offered selected monetary and non-monetary benefits (hereinafter referred to as “Club Benefits”). Membership in the A-ROSA Club is free of charge.

  • 2. Requirement and Accession Terms

    2.1 Only natural persons who are at least 18 years old can become members of the A-ROSA Club. 

    2.2 Legal entities, authorities and employees of the group of companies (Deutsche Seereederei GmbH and its associated companies within the meaning of Article 15 AktG), in particular, are excluded from the membership.

    2.3 Membership in the A-ROSA customer club starts upon application and successful registration on the website www.a-rosa.de. Customers need to register on this website by stating their email address, first and last name and a personal password and have to enter all requested details. In case customers are already members of the A-ROSA Club, they may not apply for another club membership. Customers need to complete the membership application form in full. Membership in the A-ROSA customer club will not be granted if customers fail to supply their full name, postal address (no post office box), email address and date of birth. Following a successful registration the customers will receive a written notice about their membership and their personal A-ROSA club card.

  • A-ROSA Club Levels and Calculation Basis

    3.1 The A-ROSA Club comprises the four club levels as stated below:

    A-ROSA Gold

    from a turnover* of € 15,000

    Valid within the applicable time frame (1 January 2016 – 31 December 2017 / 1 January 2018 – 31 December 2019)


    3.2 The basis for granting membership in the A-ROSA Club and the allocation to one of the four levels is the turnover generated by the customer. All club levels also require turnover generated from accommodation services. Only turnover that meets the following criteria will be considered as turnover for the calculation basis:

    a) The relevant guest who generated the turnover was at least 18 years old (turnover generated by guests under the age of 18 will not be considered) and

    b) the turnover was generated in the period (1 January 2016 – 31 December 2017 / 1 January 2018 – 31 December 2019 and 2-year time frames to come) from accommodation at an A-ROSA resort plus any turnover generated from auxiliary services. Turnover generated from private functions (weddings, birthday parties, etc.) and corporate events will not be considered for the calculation. 
     
    3.3 The calculation and allocation to a specific club level is a dynamic process which means that the current club status upon arrival applies when staying at a resort. Any new turnover and, as a result, a potential advance to the next club level can only be considered after departure. The new Club Benefits resulting thereof can only be used during the next stay. In the event of advancing to the next club level, the original club card will expire and therefore also the Club Benefits associated with it. It is not possible to combine services that club members are entitled to with other incentives provided by third parties!  

    3.4 In the event that club members advance to the next club level, the club member shall be notified about this in writing and receive the personal A-ROSA club card together with the confirmation.

    3.5 If Club Benefits are used, the relevant applicable general terms and conditions apply.

  • 4. Membership

    4.1 Following a successful registration by the customer, the membership is subject to the General Terms and Conditions of the club. At the three club levels A-ROSA Bronze, A-ROSA Silver and A-ROSA Gold the membership is limited to the period (1 January 2016 – 31 December 2017 / 1 January 2018 – 31 December 2019 and 2-year time frames to come). If any additional turnover is generated within the validity period, the member shall remain at the current club level once the validity period has expired and will receive a new A-ROSA club card which will be valid for another 24 months. In case members fail to reach the required additional turnover within the aforementioned period, they will be downgraded to the next lower club level, resulting in a reduction of Club Benefits.

    4.2
    Each member may terminate the membership at any time without advance notice. An informal written note by email to club.resorts@a-rosa.de or by mail to the address stated in Paragraph 10 is sufficient. 

    4.3 There is no legal claim to membership in the A-ROSA Club – even if the requirements are met. DSR Hotel Holding GmbH expressly reserves the right to deny customers the membership, also without giving reasons, or to terminate existing memberships. If such an event occurs, the club member will lose all rights to use any Club Benefits from the date of the termination coming into force. Any claims of the club member for compensation of any kind related to this are excluded.

  • 5. Use of Club Benefits

    5.1 Depending on the club level, members shall be granted different Club Benefits, such as, for example, exclusive specials for loyal customers, savings or free offers. The Club Benefits associated with the relevant club level are personal Club Benefits and apply to the specific individual. They will be granted at the relevant A-ROSA resort when making a direct booking at an A-ROSA resort. Using the Club Benefits is limited to the cardholder plus an accompanying person for a maximum of 3 rooms.      

    The Club Benefits of the relevant club level will be communicated to the members in writing when sending the A-ROSA club card and may be modified at any time. The actual granting of the Club Benefits depends on the operational possibilities at the relevant A-ROSA resort. The members do not have the right to claim the Club Benefits to be granted. Furthermore, the Club Benefits shall only be granted to the club member and cannot be transferred to third parties or cashed out. In any case the Club Benefits will be considered for the relevant stay only upon arrival or as part of the stay.   

    5.2 In the event that club members advance to the next club level, the club member shall be notified about this in writing and receive the personal A-ROSA club card together with the confirmation. The new Club Benefits resulting thereof can only be used during the next stay. This means that if the club member happens to meet the requirements for the next level during a resort stay, this will have no bearing on the current stay. After advancing to the next club level, the original club card will expire and therefore also the Club Benefits associated with it. It is not possible to combine Club Benefits of various club cards!  

    5.3 The club member does not have the right to swap Club Benefits or to the cash out of an equivalent value of a Club Benefit in case such Club Benefit has not been used.

  • 6. Transferability

    Each club member can request a partner card for one adult person to be nominated by the club member (who lives in the same household). Thus, turnover can be generated by both the club member and the nominated partner. Basically, partner cards provide the same Club Benefits as the main card. Turnover collected with the partner card will be assigned to the club member’s customer account. Therefore, collecting turnover with the partner card does not result in a separate club membership. It is neither possible to transfer any turnover generated during a stay nor the entire club membership to a different person.

  • 7. Status Checks and Modification of Personal Details

    Each club member has a personal club account which can be accessed online on www.a-rosa.de. Club members can view their current club status and update their personal details. Moreover, club members will receive information about their current status and generated turnover at regular intervals. Club members can also enquire about their current club status and update their personal details by calling the A-ROSA service hotline at +49 (0) 40 69 63 52 335 (Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm) or by sending an email to club.resorts@a-rosa.de, stating their first and last name, the member number and the expiration date of the club card. 

    In order to ensure proper communication with the club members, proper dispatching of the club cards and the use of the Club Benefits, the club members are encouraged to supply any deviations from or modifications to their customer details/address information in a timely manner.

  • 8. Modifications and Discontinuation of the Scheme

    The A-ROSA customer club is a voluntary offer of DSR Hotel Holding GmbH / A-ROSA Resorts & Hideaways. Thus, the company expressly reserves the right to modify and adjust this offer at any time and without giving reasons, either in parts or as a whole, or to discontinue it or to replace it by another scheme. These General Terms and Conditions of the A-ROSA Club apply as of 1 April 2017. DSR Hotel Holding GmbH reserves the right to adjust and to modify the General Terms and Conditions of the club from time to time (the latest applicable version can be accessed any time on www.a-rosa.de/club-resorts). Furthermore, DSR Hotel Holding GmbH reserves the right to modify and to adjust the existing applicable calculation basis for the club levels and to vary the relevant Club Benefits associated with the different club levels.

  • 9. Objections and Data Privacy Statement

    9.1 It is not possible to become a member of the A-ROSA Club without stating the full name, postal address (no post office box), email address and the date of birth. The members agree that DSR Hotel Holding GmbH will store their personal data and use it for membership administration purposes and own communication purposes, such as, for example, to inform the members about new A-ROSA Club Benefits. DSR Hotel Holding GmbH shall not submit such data to third parties, except for the purpose of submitting address details to shipping providers who process the dispatching of information material on behalf of DSR Hotel Holding GmbH, yet, who may not pass on the data themselves. In addition, the provisions of the Data Privacy Statement on www.a-rosa-resorts.de/en/general-terms-and-conditions.html apply.

    9.2 The members can object to the use of their data by DSR Hotel Holding GmbH at any time in writing. The contact details stated in Paragraph 10 can be used to submit such objection. Since a club membership is not possible without using such personal data, at the same time, an objection to the use of personal data will be regarded as the termination of the membership in the A-ROSA Club. The A-ROSA club card, if present with the member, must be returned immediately at the member’s own expense.

* Turnover generated since 1 January 2016. All resort-specific services qualify as turnover (turnover generated from accommodation services plus turnover generated from additional services, for example spa treatments, food & beverages, etc.) that you generate during your stay at our resorts and that you have paid for directly at the resort. Thus, external services will not be considered.
