Days to remember

Hohe Salve

Hohe Salve (1,829 m) is home to the Hohe Salve church, Austria's highest pilgrimage church, and boasts magnificent 360° views of more than 70 mountain peaks that are over 3,000 metres high – it's like walking on air! This popular summit can be reached by foot from the Hochbrixen mountain railway station via the Filzalm in around 1 - 1.5 hours, or alternatively you can take the comfortable Hochsöll/Hohe Salve cable car. When you reach the top, you'll be greeted by breathtaking panoramic views and the Hohe Salve pilgrimage church. This small church was built in 1641 and features an early Baroque altar.

Alpinolino themed walking trail

This 1.5-kilometre circular route features numerous discovery stations that encourage kids to play and explore. For instance, you can test your sense of touch and smell, watch live marmots, see how fast you can run or how far you can jump. There's so much for kids (and parents) to explore with their eyes, ears, noses and hands: such as the biotope, suspension bridge, tree house, adventure playground or the organic jumping castle. The themed trail in Westendorf is open from the end of May until the end of October.
