With a force 4 gale at your back
11 kilometres long, Scharmützelsee is the largest lake in the state of Brandenburg. Offering top-class conditions for all types of water sports, it's a magnet for sailors, canoeists and all other fans of H2O-based activities. With a seasonal average of force 4 winds on the Beaufort scale, there's practically a wind guarantee out on the lake. The A-ROSA resort on Scharmützelsee – an unrivalled oasis of wellness, sport and worldly delights – is the perfect base for water sport enthusiasts.
The Yacht Akademie Axel Schmidt (YAAS) is ideally located on the western shore just 200 metres from the resort. This sailing boat and pleasure craft school offers courses for a motor boat or sailing boat license. Furthermore, the YAAS also offers VDWS (Association of German Windsurfing and Water Sport Schools) basic courses for windsurfing, dinghy and catamaran sailing.
The legendary Riva yachts, which lie at anchor just in front of the Yacht Academy, are an absolute highlight. As a guest of our resort, you can experience the "joie de vivre" of the 60s in the Rolls Royce of classic boating and get to know Lake Scharmützel in a really unique manner.
