Jogging & walking – The way to go
With the strand literally at your feet when you walk out the door, there's absolutely no excuse for not checking out the island's prettiest and most demanding running/walking routes. Sylt's paved roads and dirt tracks, the latter of which are particularly easy on the joints, are a veritable eldorado for all types of walkers and runners. As one of the largest parks of its kind in Germany, the Nordic Walking Park Sylt – with approximately 220 kilometres of paths – opened in October 2005. Overall, the park offers 26 different routes, ranging from 1.6 to 18.7 kilometres in length. In List, right in front of the resort in other words, you can try out three different beautiful routes. Signposted according to their level of difficulty, blue means easy and red means moderately difficult. We particularly recommend the route from List to Kampen, where the scenery changes around every bend.
